How do sitemaps help SEO?

An XML sitemap lists all important URLs of your website, helping search engines discover and crawl them efficiently.
This is especially useful for large websites, deep hierarchies, or newly launched domains where internal linking is weak.
Sitemaps can also include last modified dates and priority hints. While they don’t guarantee indexing, they ensure bots don’t miss critical pages.
Quick tip: keep sitemaps clean (only indexable URLs), under 50k URLs per file, and submit via Search Console.
